Local and South African Traditional Chiefs Meet

Local and South African traditional chiefs met in Maseru on March 14 and were accepted in the country by the Minister of Local Government, Dr. Ponts'o Sekatle.

Dr. Sekatle said she hoped the traditional leaders will share important issues especially those regarding land administration as it applied to farming, housing and development.

Land forms part of every day life, hence it is important that it be effectively managed.

Principal Chief of Ha 'Mamathe, Chieftainess 'Masenate Masupha said the meeting was important as they are able to share ideas with their counterparts from South Africa.

She said this will create a smart partnership between these two countries and be able to enhance Local Government issues.
