Reigning Buddie Premier League champions Likhopo play against Botswana
counterparts, the Police XI, in an international friendly scheduled for the
Setsoto stadium on February 12.
The visitors are expected to arrive in the country on Friday evening.
Likhopo mentor Bishop Molatoli said in an interview that the match aims at
preparing the team for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions
league fixture against South African opponents Mamelodi Sundowns on February
19.
The locals will be fielding a formidable side that will however be minus
three key players Moses Ramafole, Ralekoti Mokhahlane and Bokang 'Lefty'
Mothoana due to injuries.
They are however hoping
that the trio will recover in time for the Sundowns clash next Sunday. The
game against the visiting Batswana will help them identify their weaknesses
before meeting Sundowns a week later.
Although Likhopo's training has been disrupted by this week's rains, the
fitness level of the players is still good, Molatoli said.
