Lesotho is to host the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Summit in August, this year, the Minister of Communications, Science and Technology, Mr. Motsoahae Thomas Thabane has announced.

This is because Lesotho will be taking over the chairmanship of the regional organisation from Botswana.

The local media should report more on events taking place in the SADC region and the office of the Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Dr. Timothy Thahane has all the information about activities in the region.

He urged local media to take part in the 2006 SADC MEDIA essay on HIV AND AIDS essay competition.
