Lesotho Has Benefited Greatly from the Commonwealth
 

Lesotho has over the year benefited from being part of the Commonwealth network and enjoys cordial relations with the organisation, according to the Prime Minister, Mr. Pakalitha Mosisili. 

In a statement on Commonwealth day Mr. Mosisili said this year in particular, special attention is being paid to the virtues of health and vitality, and the importance of food security is recognised in communities. Nations are stronger when there is access to good food and healthy living conditions.
 
The Commonwealth has been a strong pillar of support to Lesotho's democratic process, sending election observer missions since the first democratic elections in 1993. The organization has also provided valuable advice and guidance to the Independent Electoral Commission and stakeholders to ensure that the electorate exercises their democratic freely.

Lesotho continues to benefit from the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Cooperation (CFTC) by strengthening the capacity Research Development at the Central Bank of Lesotho to manage the database for the national accounts of macroenomic forecasting and policy analysis.
