LEGAL OFFICERS PROMOTE JUSTICE - MOPHETHE

 - The Deputy Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Justice, Human Rights and Rehabilitation says the presence of professional Legal Practitioners contributes to the development of the country.

Dr Mophethe Mophethe was delivering a speech at the 2nd Convocation of the award of Certificates in the Local Law Certificate Programme at Lesotho National Convention Centre on Friday.

He said graduates must impart their acquired skills to the society as they are expected to work in different places such as Correctional and Military Services where the knowledge of Law is essential.

He showed that they should always put the society's interests in the forefront as they are public servants and expected to contribute to the success of the country.

Dr Mophethe also expressed his gratitude to the graduates’ parents who provided support to the graduates in their studies.

When awarding Certificates to 58 Graduates, the Chief Justice Mr Mahapela Lehohla said the School needs support from the Government and its stakeholders so that it can also contribute towards the Vision 2020.

He appealed to the Management of the National University of Lesotho to recognise their programme so that students can further their education to an advanced level.
