Fifteen members of the Lesotho
Girl Guides Association (LGGA) will leave the country today Tuesday, to
attend a youth camp in United Kingdom from August 05 to 12. The delegation will be led by two adult leaders and a youth leader. According to the association Executive Committee Secretary Miss Seeng Nts'aba, the main objective of the camp is to share ideas on the administration of girl guides associations as well as strengthening good relationships between the two countries. She added that while in the United Kingdom, the girl guides will visit the Scout Association's community developmental projects so as to learn how other associations manage their projects. Miss Nts'aba further explained that upon completion, participants will be expected to develop and upgrade their community developmental activities in the country. She stated that LGGA believes that behavioral and attitude change are the best tools to fight the spread of the HIV\AIDS pandemic among the youth and this will be the main topic to be discussed by the delegation and their counterparts in UK. The Lesotho delegation is expected to return home on August 14. |
