LEC TO CONDUCT NEEDS ASSESSMENT
The Lesotho Evangelical Church (LEC) through its women's programme will conduct a needs assessment at the Sefikeng LEC parish, in the Berea district today, Thursday 27th.

The Programme's coordinator Mrs.'Mampiti Moletsane said the assessment will be conducted with the aim of finding out the needs of women and consequently how they can be assisted.

She said during the assessment, women will be given the opportunity to identify problems and needs and shall be provided with skills to address those needs.

''The programme deals with empowering women with the necessary skills for the promotion of self reliance,'' she added.

Mrs. Moletsane indicated that after the assessment, a series of workshops will be organised to equip women with skills to enable them to deal with challenges they face in their respective areas.

A similar assessment was conducted within Mant'sonyane LEC parish in the Thaba-Tseka district last weekend where women showed that they needed to be assisted with self-reliance skills for income generation and poverty alleviation.

LEC has 107 parishes in Lesotho and South Africa that will be covered in due course.
