LCD WIN BI-ELECTIONS IN FOUR ELECTORAL DIVISIONS
	-- Four candidates for Lesotho Congress for Democracy (LCD) have won local government by-elections at four electoral divisions in different community councils on Saturday. The District Electoral Officer, Mrs. ‘Mabafokeng Mpitso said ‘Malerato Makhetha has won the by-elections in electoral division No. G04 07 in Lipkakoe community council with 59 votes. She added that Mrs. Mat’seliso Mpobole an independent candidate followed Mrs. Makhetha, who was the LCD candidate with 52 votes, adding that they were only two competitors in electoral division No. GO4 07. She further indicated that Mr. Tello Makutoane of LCD candidate won the by-elections with 209 votes in electoral division G08 04 in Mokotjomela Community Council and followed by Mrs. ‘Makhotso Ntjolo of the Popular Front For Democracy (PFD) candidate with 13 votes. Mrs. Mpitso pointed out that Mrs. Pokiwe Bolepo the LCD candidate won in electoral division G10 03 in Seforong community council and she was followed by Mrs Moselantja Phatela an independent candidate with 27 votes. Mrs 'Mazakiele Moshesha of LCD won electoral division G06 06 in Tsatsane with 62 vote and was followed by Mrs Nofikile Mei an LPC candidate with 15 votes. The District Electoral Officer stated that the by-elections were successfully, as voters turned up to the polling stations despite heavy rains and cold experienced on polling day.
