KORDULA ASSIGNED AS A NEW DPU MEMBER
	A German Technical Corporation (GTZ) representative was on Wednesday welcomed as a new member and an advisor to the Qacha’s nek District Planning Unit (DPU) at a meeting between members of the DPU held at the District Administrator’s office. Speaking during the meeting, the DA Mr. Motsamai Mokoto explained that Ms. Kordula Rommel has been assigned to work on a two-year contract as the DPU’s Technical advisor and would be expected to also strengthen its capacity. Mr. Mokoto pointed out that some of the duties Ms Rommel will be expected to carry out include giving assistance in the formation of the integrated district plan, assisting in the financial system of the DPU and also in the acquisition of funds that would be used in the community projects. He therefore appealed to members of the DPU to work together with her and utilise all the skills she would be offering. Expressing her vote of thanks, Ms. Rommel explained that she believes her presence within the DPU would make a difference as they would be working as a team with other members of the DPU. She noted that the exchange of ideas among team members would help them achieve all the challenges they would be faced with and together she said, they will produce wonderful work GTZ assists the government of Lesotho with expertise in improving service delivery and the construction of community projects.
