Information and Communication Tchnology (ICT) can enhance economic growth  and reduce poverty in Lesotho if implemented properly, a local expert has said.

Dr. Mohlalefi Sefika of the National University of Lesotho said such a  development is best speaheaded by education departments in the country. He said this during a presentation at the two-day ICT Forum which started at Lehakoe Club today. The Forum has draw participants from the public, private and NGO sector to address various ICT applications and other  relevant issues.

Among the discussants at the Forum was Communications, science and  Technology Deputy Principal, Thabiso Makintane. He said ICT could advance the cause of democracy in the SADC region and help the country achieve the Millennium Development Goals.
