Horsten Murder, Judgement on March 27

Judgment in the trial of a man accused of killing a German tourist killed at Malealea Mafeteng in March 2004 will be delivered on March 27.

Presiding judge, Justice Semapo Peete, said this has been a difficult case, aggravated by the fact of the key witness, Tobias Aldenhoff's refusal to come to the country to testify. He applauded the prosecution for having tried its best to use alternative means of obtaining Aldenhoff's evidence, of video conferencing.

Justice Peete thanked the defence counsel, Advocate Hae Phoofolo, for having
professionally and expeditiously made his submission.

Keketso Lekota is charged with a murder of Sabastian Horsten, at Litšokeleng, Malealea on March 17, 2004. He is also charged with armed robbery and contravention of Internal Security Act number 17, of 1996.
