| ELECTRICITY GOES TO THE RURAL COMMUNITIES | |
|
- The National Coordinator
for Rural Development Mr. T'sehlo Thulo has shown that the
electrification project that it is expected to be launched this year will
not cover all the areas of Dilli-Dilli and Sinxondo. Mr. Thulo said the project will start at peri-urban areas and added that it will take phases to complete. He was speaking at a public gathering at Mpeka in the Dilli-Dilli on Wednesday, where he urged chiefs and community councils to work towards the success of the project. Mr. Thulo also urged them to ensure that orphans benefit in the same manner as others by mobilizing funds for installation of electricity in their homes. He stated that chiefs and community councils are bound by the law to develop and protect the lives of vulnerable people. He indicated that installation of electricity is expected to improve the lives of the community since electricity accelerates development. Over M21 500.00 has been collected by the community for electrical installation in the two areas. |
