---The Commander of Police in Thaba-Tseka Superintendent Sets’ohe Sakoane has warned Ha-Soai community to stop engaging in criminal activities as this hinders development in their area. Superintendent Sakoane said this when addressing the public at a gathering aimed at cautioning communities against mismanagement of rangelands at Ha-Soai in the Khohlo-Nts’o area on Thursday. He expressed concern over the continued use of reserved rangelands, despite local authority’s interventions, saying mismanagement of pastures is an offense hence culprits are liable to legal charges. He therefore warned the perpetrators to stop their illegal deeds, iterating that police would not hesitate to take legal actions against them. With regard to stock theft, he urged the public to reinstate Crime Prevention committees, as this would help to reduce stock theft and other criminal activities in their area. He further urged the public to support their Community Councils in protecting developmental projects, adding that local government has been establish to enhance community development, this why their support is crucial. |
