COOP MEMBERS CONVERGE FOR THEIR DAY
 
 
Maseru May 30 - Cooperatives members from various areas of the district will celebrate Cooperatives' Day in Maseru on June 21.

The Cooperative Assistant for the Maseru district Mrs.'Mamakhabane Ntsokoane said the aim is to further create public awareness about the importance of establishing cooperatives.

Mrs. Ntsokoane added that it is also to prepare for the national cooperatives day that will be held in the capital city in July where members from all districts will be given the opportunity to exchange ideas on how to improve their activities.

She said activities of the day will include exhibition of different products such as livestock, vegetables, cereals, handicrafts and food stuff as well as speeches.

Similar celebrations will also be held in other districts and the theme for this year is “Peace Building through Cooperatives.”

Cooperatives are business-oriented organisations established with the objective of enabling members to generate income and address socio-economic problems.
