CBRP ORGANISES REHABILITATION W/SHOP
 

 Mafeteng, May 19 (LENA)----The Community Based Rehabilitation programme (CBRP) has organized a two-week workshop to be held at Golden Hotel starting on May 29.

Speaking in an interview, the CBRP Rehabilitation Officer Mrs. Ntsatsi Sefali said the purpose of this training is to equip the participants with skills
that would enable them to rehabilitate and counsel people with different disabilities.

She stated that during the workshop participants will have an opportunity to discuss topics such as occupational therapy, orthopedic therapy, physiotherapy as well as to find solution on how people with mental disability could be assisted.

Mrs. Sefali indicated that the participants of this training will be 32 CBRP/local workers working as volunteers, identified by the community of Tebang and Matelile during the community sensitization programme on its mandates on August last year.

She further mentioned that the workshop is a follow-up to the one, which was held at Matelile ward in April this year with the aim of sensitising community about the importance of rehabilitating people with disability at village level, unlike in the past whereby they had to be taken to institutions that deals with disability related issues.
