Boxing Announces Commonwealth Team
 

The Lesotho Amateur Boxing Association (LABA) has announced the names of boxers to represent the country at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia in March this year.

The selections were announced after national championships held at Maria 'Ma-Basotho, on the outskirts of Maseru over the January 28 weekend, according to LABA secretary general Takatso Ramakhula.

The boxers are Katiso Ts'enoli and Moses Kopo from Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) boxing club,  Tsietsi Khanyane, Thabiso Nketu, Thandi Ntjona, Meshack Letsoepa and Macheli Letuka from Best Boxers Club (BBC) as well as Tieho Ntulo from Ts'osane club.

Athletics and boxing are the only two disciplines in which the country has won any medals in the Commonwealth Games. Thabiso Moqhali and Sephula Letuka won medals in 1998 and 2002 in Malaysia and England respectively.
