Tribute to Late Saudi King
 

The government of Lesotho has sent a message of condolences to the people and the new sovereign, Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia on the death of King Fahd.

In his message of condolences, the Prime Minister, Mr. Pakalitha Mosisili described the late King Fahd as a man of outstanding leadership qualities who left no stone unturned in the socio-economic development of his country. He will be remembered for the bold as well calculated fight against Islamic terrorism, a move that won him accolades across the world.

On behalf of the government and people of Lesotho, the Prime Minister conveyed the
deepest condolences and sympathies to the government and people of Saudi Arabia, particularly members of the bereaved family.

King Fahd, Saudi Arabia's ruler since 1982, died on August 1 at the age of 84.

Saudi state television announced Crown Prince Abdullah, his half-brother, had been named as King Fahd's successor.
