Third World Academy of Sciences Prize Among Science Fair Awards
 

The Minister of Communications, Science and Technology Mr. Motsoahae Thabane will award prizes for exceptional innovations and inventions on September 15, a day before the end of the National Science Week, being held at the National Convention Centre in Maseru. This will include the Third World Academy of Sciences Prize for young scientists, which will be given for the first time in Lesotho.    

Director of the Science and Technology Department, Mrs. 'Maseqobela Williams said the awards will be given to 15 best performing exhibitors. Other prizes will be awarded in categories in on inventions, innovations, art and design as well as best performing students in science related school programmes.

The National Science Week attracted about 77 exhibitors representing private companies, training institutes and government departments, Mrs. Williams said.
