People who were affected by the construction of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP) will share their experiences of big schemes with the Metolong, Thaba Bosiu, community on International Water Day, March 14.

The interaction, to be led by the Transformation Resource Centre (TRC), is meant to sensitize the Metolong community about the social and environmental impact of large infra-structural developments such as the proposed Lowlands Water Project dam, which is going to be build in their community.

In an interview, TRC Community Worker  Mr Mabusetsa Lenka said the contact is meant to help the Metolong communities play a proactive role and ensure that benefits brought by the new Project are maximized and their negative impact minimized.
