Another "Sports Arena" in Mohale's Hoek Soon, Phafane Promises
  Preparations are at an advanced stage for the construction of a Lesotho Football Association (LEFA) sports centre in Mohale' Hoek before the end of February, association president Advocate Salemane Phafane has announced.

Speaking to journalists on January 12, the LEFA president said the sports centre, to be built at the Mohale's Hoek race course as part of the second phase of the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) Goal Project.

Bids by tenderers for the work will be opened in the week beginning January 17 and construction would be expected to begin soon afterwards, he said whilst also announcing that Ashford Mamelodi, FIFA regional development representative, will be visiting the country soon to observe progress on the Project.

The aim is to have at least one football ground measuring up to international standards, built in each of the country's ten districts, he said.

The president also announced that during the FIFA Gala in Zurich, Switzerland, last December, they were able to establish good working relationships with other international bodies  such that  local national teams will be able to hold training camps in Europe.

They had also strengthened existing cooperation with neighbours South African Football Association (SAFA) enabling more exchange programmes between the two countries during the period leading to the 2010 World Cup.
