Sitting Hours in Parliament to Change
Leader of the House in the National Assembly, Mr. Lesao Lehohla, has proposed a change in sitting hours with effect from February 28.

Tabling his proposal, Mr. Lehohla suggested that on Mondays the committee of supply on the current budgetary proposals should start its business at nine in the mornings and work until half past five in the evenings.

On Tuesdays the House should resume duties at 14h30 until 17h30 while the sitting hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays  should be similar to Mondays except that on Fridays the sitting hours  end at 13h00.

Mr. Lehohla, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs and Public Safety, said the changes are meant to enable Members to finish financial proposal debate before Easter Holidays as well as let them prepare for the forth coming local government elections.

The proposal was seconded by Lesotho People's Congress (LPC) MP, Mr. Molahlehi Letlotlo   and carried by the House.
