Southern African Police Chiefs Meet in Lesotho

Southern African Police Chiefs are concerned about the use fake traveling documents and the increase in illegal immigrants in the region, organising a three day meeting at the traditional capital of Thaba Bosiu, from October 12 to 14, the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) has announced.

The Southern African Regional Co-operation Organization (SARPCCO) and Interpol have organised the meeting to discuss ways to combat these crimes and come up with a programme of action.

Illegal immigrants have been found in most cases to be involved in criminal activity, according to Senior Superintendent Mpota Nthako of the LMPS.
