According to LNFOD President Mr. 'Mikea Maholela, the conference will examine progress in the countries’ plans for youth representation and participation in the Southern African Federation of Disabled (SAFOD) Regional Executive Council.

The theme of this year’s conference is 'building a solid future for youth with disabilities' as well as other Millennium Development Goals and development policies like Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers (PRSP) and Global Call for Poverty Reduction (GCPR).
