SA Home Affairs Minister to Head SADC Observer Mission in Zimbabwe
 

South African Home Affairs Minister, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, will head a Southern African Development Community (SADC) team to observe the Zimbabwean parliamentary elections later this month.

South Africa is heading the observer mission by virtue of its current position as chair of the SADC organ on defence, security and politics. The departure date of the delegation was being finalised by the SADC secretariat in Botswana, Ronnie Mamoepa, the South African foreign affairs spokesperson has said.
