| Qacha Builds a Snake Park | |
|
German Development Agency (DED) is helping in the establishment of a snake park at Ha Hlapalimane, in the Qacha’s Nek district. The M45 000 project was started by a student at Makhaola High School, Nkhooa Molahlehi, who has so far collected over 100 of non- and poisonous snakes, according to the German organisation’s HIV/AIDS adviser, Mr. Jan Emmel. According to Molahlehi, he initially started the project as a way of protecting the snakes from wild fires. He would later release them back into the wild when he though they were capable of fending for themselves, he said. 29 August 2005 | |
