President Ben Mkapa to Visit Lesotho
 

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mr. Benjamin Mkapa will be in Lesotho for a two-day state visit on September 23, the Government has announced.

Government Secretary, Mr. Tlohang Sekhamane announced that during his visit, the Tanzanian President will meet with King Letsie III and the Prime Minister Mr. Pakalitha Mosisili. He is also expected to be presented with one of the country’s most prestigious medals of honour.

The visit will serve to strengthen the good relations existing between Lesotho and Tanzania, Mr. Sekhamane said.

 President Mkapa is serving his second and last presidential term and will be retiring from active politics. He was elected President of Tanzania in 1995.
