Parliament Adjourns for Independence Day Celebrations
 

Parliament adjourned for a week for the National Independence celebrations. The break will be from September 30 to October 6. 

The country will be marking its 39th independence anniversary on October 04 after gaining independence from Britain in 1966.

Announcing the break, the leader of the House, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Lesao Lehohla, announced that King Letsie III and the Prime Minister Mr. Pakalitha Mosisili will lead the main tree planting activity at Ha Pena-Pena in Maseru.

Other Cabinet Ministers are expected to lead similar activities in the districts.
