New Parliament Complex up Soon
 

The People's Republic of China will help build the new Lesotho Parliament. A Memorandum of Understanding to this effect was signed by the Minister of Public Works and Transport Mr. Popane Lebesa and the Ambassador Mr. Qiu Bohua on November 8.

According to the agreement, China will look after construction of the parliament building while the government of Lesotho will see to the provision of other infrastructure such as roads, the installation of electricity, water supply and telephones. 

The complex will comprise Senate and National Assembly chambers and an administration block.

The signing follows a feasibility study of the construction site by the Chinese.
