| Mohloli Wins Medal in Comrades Marathon | |

A Lesotho runner, Mohala Mohloli, is among the first 10 runners to cross the finishing line in the 89 kilometre men's race in the Comrades Marathon, run from Pietermaritzburg to Durban on June 16.Pietermaritzburg. Mohloli was sixth, completing the race in 5 hours, 40 minutes and 18 seconds. Mohloli and Oleg Kharitonov of Russia were the only two foreign runners to make it to the top 10 in the race, dominated by South African men. Vladimir Kotov, fourth is a former Russian who has since become a naturalised South African. More than 14 000 athletes from across the globe battled it out in the world's toughest ultra marathon. 13 June 2005 |
