Matlama Football Club has dismissed its public relations and marketing officer Thabo Thakalekoala.

The decision was made at an emergency executive committee meeting that was held at the Pitso Ground in Maseru on November 15.

President of Matlama, Hasa Lelimo, said Thakalekoala was dismissed for allegedly destabilising the club. He had been cautioned several times prior to the dismissal, Lelimo said.

Thakalekoala said however that he has been dismissed for speaking his mind about malpractices by some members of the executive committee. “A certain clique” within the committee was out to destroy the club, something which he could not just watch and do nothing about, he said.

He professed undying love for Matlama.
