Mda Case Postponed to February 17
The defence and the crown in the Advocate Zwelakhe Mda "obstructing the hands of justice" case are involved in a tussle over what the Court of Appeal meant when it ruled that the case should be started afresh.

Advocate Khalaki Sello, one of the defence counsels, made an application before Acting Judge Justice Simpson Victor Ntambanengwe, that the case not be heard in the High Court but in the Magistrate's.

The defence's argument is that subsequent to a ruling by the Court of Appeal that the case be heard again and be started afresh, this should not be in the High Court but the magistrate's court where it was originally  heard.

The case was postponed from February 15 to 17.

Advocate Zwelakhe Mda and Limakatso Ralitlhare are accused of obstructing the hands of justice in that they allegedly interfered with crown witnesses in a case involving the murder of the Prime-Minister's son, Maile Mosisili.

The crown is represented by Advocate Denis Peter Molyneaux and Mr. Mots'ei Tlali, while
the defence team is composed of Advocates Salemane Phafane, Motiea Teele, Khalaki Sello and B. Sooknanaan.
