Construction of the Ha Souru bridge along the Maseru-Teyateyaneng road,
which collapsed during January's heavy rains, has started, Principal Roads
Engineer, Mr. Mochekoane Ramashamole has announced. The Ministry of Public Works will spend over M1.5 million to rebuild the bridge, which has been contracted to Corks Holdings Construction, Mr Ramashamole said, although he could not commit himself to completion dates as this would be determine by weather conditions. Road traffic has been diverted to the Ha Fusi gravel road during the construction, he said, appealing to users to be careful especially during heavy rains as the road can be slippery. 10 March 2005 |
