A reciprocal teacher placement programme between Lesotho and Wales is expected to come into operation in January 2006, according to Director of the Lesotho/Wales Link Mrs. 'Mapokane Phachaka.
According to Mrs. Phachaka teachers from Wales will be coming to Lesotho in January for a six months period while Lesotho teachers will also be preparing to visit Wales at least four to six times a year.

The Welsh teachers will undergo training to familiarise themselves with life in Lesotho.

Several meetings have already been held with stakeholders to decide on which schools the teachers will be placed once the programme kicks off.
