Lesotho's Under 15 to Play Ghana in Friendly

Lesotho's Under 15 soccer team will play against Ghana in an international friendly match scheduled for April 3, at Setsoto stadium, Lesotho Football Association (LEFA) administrator Sello Lesita has said.

Interviewed by the Lesotho News Agency, Lesita said the game is to familiarise the youngsters with international level matches.

"Most of the players will in the near future play for Likuena and it is worthwhile to introduce them at international games at this level, particularly against well established soccer academies like the Feyenoord Fetteh Football Academy of Ghana," he said.

The Ghanaians would be visiting South African premier league side Supersport after the failure of the four-nation U-15 soccer tournament, supposed to have been played against host Botswana, South Africa, Ghana and Lesotho during the Easter holiday.

Local Under 15s coach Matita Lemao had already started preparing the team for the four nations and this would be the side pitted against Ghana.

Meanwhile, the Women and Youth Football Development Programme is underway throughout the country’s 10 districts, with Under 12s, 15s and 17s structures being established.

Technical Director of the Programme, Mafole Sematlane said the ultimate aim is for the
establishment of competitions at the zonal level.
