Eighty six officers were awarded medals for completing 20 years of service as members of the Lesotho Defence Force. Seven were honoured for serving the Force for 10 years.

Commander of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) Lieutenant General Thuso Motanyane, in congratulating the officers for hard, dedicated and faithful service, urged them to continue in their exemplary work so that their juniors feel obligated to emulate them.

They should continue excelling in their work to give the LDF the good reputation it has earned, he said.

Another group of 42 paratroopers were given medals for having successfully completed  ten weeks’ training in Botswana without any handicap.
