Judge Recuses Himself from Theft and Fraud Case
Justice Baptista Molai has recused himself from a case in which five men are accused of allegedly defrauding CGM (Pty) Limited of M660 000.00 in July, 2001.

The judge made the announcement at the end of the trial of Roman Catholic Church priest Rev. Thabo Anthony Monyau, whose case was separated from that of the five after plea bargaining. Justice Molai said since he had become familiar with the facts of the case it would be best that it be heard by another judge.

Rev. Monyau received a five year sentence suspended for years three. He was also to repay the M245 000.00 withdrawn from the church's account.
