It's Going to be One of the Toughest Races, Maphathe Promises

The Maluti Mountain Brewery (MMB) has organised what is expected to be one of the country's toughest 21 kilometre half marathons, to be run in Maseru on February 6.

Organiser of the race, Sejanamane Maphathe said stiff competition is expected between  Moeketsi Mosuhli, Tau Khotso, Percy Sephooa and Tiisetso Ramokheseng in the men's category, as these have proved to be the country's best runners.

In the women's section, a fierce battle is expected between Moleboheng Mafata, Matrinta 'Mota and 'Mamoroallo Tjoka.

Athletes with best times of less than 1.04 will qualify for the international 21.1 km championships scheduled for Finland in October this year. There is also M900 first prize money in both categories.

Twenty runners have so far registered for the race, Maphathe said.
