Independence Cup Draw at End of September

The draw for the Imperial Fleet Services Independence Cup will be made at the end of the month, Premier League Management Committee (PLMC) spokesperson Mathabela Jankie, has announced.

Finalists Likhopo, Mphatlalatsane, Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) and Lesotho Prisons Services (LPS) will gauge their chances at the championship after finding out what teams they have been drawn against in the Final.

Jankie said the draw will be conducted in the presence of Imperial Fleet Services as this year's sponsor.

The announcement follows weekend victories by Buddie league champions Likhopo over Lioli, 1-0, in Teyateyaneng; the military team, LDF, holding Matlama to a one all draw;  LPS also making sure of a place in the Cup at the expense of Lesotho Mounted Police Services (LMPS) by a 3-0 aggregate score.

Mphatlalatsane from Leribe overshadowed the once famous Linare to represent the district in the Finals, beating Fokothi 4-1.
