Fifteen Suspected Robbers Arrested in Mohale's Hoek

Fifteen suspected robbers were arrested in Mohale's Hoek during the recent countrywide police operation against criminal activity, according to Officer Commanding the police special operations unit, Senior Superintendent Dlamini Mphatšoane.

Senior Superintendent Mphatšoane said the Unit had received a tip that these men would rob a Chinese business in Phamong on a certain date, and following it up, thus arresting the men. The men were armed with four shotguns and 11 pistols. Twenty-two stolen cellular phones were recovered.

Several of the men are already wanted for other crimes including robbery and murder cases.

The police have learnt that these criminals have informers who tell them when to launch their attacks and that most were people working for the said businesses, Senior Superintendent Mphatšoane said.
