Eight Lesotho PostBank Branches by August

The Lesotho PostBank expects to have opened eight branches throughout the country by August, less than a year into its founding. Four more branches are to be opened in Maputsoe, Thaba Tseka, Mapoteng and Morija between May and August this year, the Bank has announced.

In a statement, the LPB said the four are in addition to already operational branches in Maseru, Pitseng, Semonkong and Machache. This is in pursuance of its policy of saving rural communities on transport costs they would normally incur in travelling to urban centres for banking services, it said.

“More branches are to follow to ensure that Basotho are closer to banking services than ever before.”

The Bank said it has also started offering cheque deposit services to its customers.
