Dlomo Monaphathi Signs With Pirates Youth Development Programme
South African top premiership side Orlando Pirates signed a  partnership agreement with local club Matlama on March 14 through which a striker from the local team is to join the Johannesburg side.

Matlama public relations officer Thabo Thakalekoala said Orlando Pirates Youth Development head coach Augusto Palacios was in the country to finalise the transfer of striker Dlomo Monaphathi to Pirates. He said Monaphathi, who joined the South African club earlier this
month, is still a minor at only 17 years of age and that therefore there could be no talk of transfer fees in the discussions.

Thakalekoala said if Monaphathi could convince the Pirates management to promote him to the senior side, then new negotiations would be opened. President Hasa Lelimo signed the agreement on behalf of Matlama.

Monaphathi, who also plays for the national Under 20 team, Makoanyane XI, will be the second Matlama player to join Orlando Pirates and the fifth player from the country.
