Fake South African currency is reported to be circulating hardly a month since that country’s Reserve bank released new currency that was said to have improved security features, including features for the blind. 

The Reserve Bank’s assistant manager, Dirk Patter, said the public should look at the security features built into the notes in order for them to differentiate the fakes from the genuine ones. “Obviously the fake notes do not have the security features,” he said.
