Clowns
Without Borders-USA, a United States of America based jester group, will
visit Lesotho from November 18 to December 4.
Lesotho Save the Children (LSC) Village Manager, Mrs. Mphonyane Mofokeng,
the group will visit several children's homes, including the Ts'oanelo
centre in Leribe, the Lesotho Child Care Unit at Mazenod, Lesotho Girl
Guides Association (LGGA), the Mantšase orphanage in Mohale's Hoek and the
SOS children's home in Maseru.
Clowns Without Borders is mainly a child entertainer which aims at improving
conditions in crisis situations by bringing humour and laughter to relieve
suffering in crisis areas, including refugee camps, conflict zones and
territories in situations of emergency.
The theatrical and circus oriented performances and workshops are taken into
communities so that they can for a moment forget the tensions that darken
their daily lives, Mrs. Mofokeng said.
The group has already visited South Africa and Swaziland.
