Fifteen choral societies are to compete in a choral music festival, organised by the African Melody Festival (AMF) company, on December 4.

AMF treasurer Tsietsi Polane said the choirs, from all over the country, will compete for prizes ranging from M200.00 to M4000.00, including trophies. 

The festival, held for the first time in 2003 with the objective of improving the standard of choral music in the country, is sponsored by the Standard Bank; the Ministries of Tourism, Environment and Culture as well as the 'Makeneuoe Mosala Foundation.
