| Chinese Foreign Minister to Visit Lesotho | |

People's Republic of China Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Li Zhao Xing,
will visit Lesotho from January 14 to 15, 2004, the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs has announced. Director of Asia and Pacific Affairs, Mr Bahlakoana Mokhehle, told the Lesotho News Agency (LENA) that the Chinese Minister will be hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Monyane Moleleki, with whom he is expected to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries. Minister Li Zhao will pay courtesy calls on King Letsie III and the Prime Minister, Mr Pakalitha Mosisili. He will also tour projects funded by the Chinese Government, such as the Lesotho National Convention Centre and the new national library site. The Minister's visit is part of the high level exchange visits agreed upon under the Africa-China Forum of Cooperation, to allow economic and political consultations between China and African countries, Mr. Mokhehle said. 06 January 2005 |
