Unidentified Cattle Disease in Thaba Tseka
The Thaba-Tseka District Agricultural Office has reported the outbreak of an as yet unidentified disease attacking cattle in the Mashai area of the district.

District Agric Officer, Mr. Lebuile Rantletse said three cattle have so far died from the disease, first discovered at Khotsong in the Mashai area, which is identified by mouth sores, fever and stiffness before livestock eventually die.

The disease is suspected to be contagious and has signs similar to Foot and Mouth and Black Quarter (serotsoana) disease. While investigations to establish the causes of the disease continue,  the public should avoid eating meat from the affected cattle and report similar cases immediately.
