The upgrading of three gravel roads in the Mpharane to Bela Bela region to bitumen standard has been completed and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs Mr. Lesao Lehohla will officiate the inauguration on September 16, 2005. 

A Ministry of Works statement on September 6 said the M52.5 million upgrading included the Mpharane to St. Theresa Mission and Mpharane to Kolojane and to Bela-Bela road sections. 

The project in north eastern Lesotho, which was funded by the Government of Lesotho and African Development Bank, involved work in the districts of Leribe and Berea.
