|
King Letsie III has commissioned as Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Mr. Lebohang Fine Maema and; Mr. Motlatsi Ramafole as ambassador designate to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. His Majesty the King told the two envoys that in the spirit of desiring to maintain and strengthen the good relations that exist between Lesotho and the UN Commission for Africa; and the United Nations respectively, they had been chosen to represent Lesotho. He was confident that they would be able to discharge their missions in a manner that would merit the approval of the UN Secretary General, and prove themselves worthy of this mark of confidence bestowed upon them. They are charged to serve the Government and the People of Lesotho with loyalty, honour and dignity in their duties, and wished them success in their new assignments, the King said. Accepting the charge, Ambassadors Messers Maema and Ramafole both endeavoured to discharge the duties with which they have been entrusted by The King’s Government with dedication. They were conscious to remain aware of the aspirations, plans and priorities of His Majesty’s Government, in the development of the prosperity and well-being of the people of Lesotho, they said. 12 August 2005 |
