Two JBCC Projects get a Boost from SA's African Renaissance Fund

South Africa has donated M6.6 million to the Geo-Chemical and Hydrological Projects of the Ministry of Natural Resources, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The money, released through South Africa's African Renaissance Fund, is part of that country's assistance under the Joint Bilateral Commission of Cooperation (JBCC), a cooperation agreement signed by the Heads of Governments of the two countries, the Prime Minister Mr. Pakalitha Mosisili and President Thabo Mbeki at the occasion held in Maseru in April 2001.

The JBCC aims at contributing towards Lesotho’s economic development so that the country graduates from its Least Developed Country status.
