Tsekoa off to Politics and Diplomacy Meeting in Lusaka

 

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mohlabi Tsekoa will represent the country in the third Ministerial meeting of the Inter State Politics and Diplomacy Committee (ISPDC) of SADC, scheduled to begin in Lusaka, Zambia on June 11. 

A Press statement from the Ministry said on June 7 that the meeting has been convened in terms of the mandate of the Committee to achieve the objectives of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation relating to politics and diplomacy within the region. The meeting will review the current political situation within the SADC region, the statement said

The ministerial meeting was preceded by two others, the Politics and Governance Sub Committee and a  preparatory meeting for senior officials. Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary, Mr. Motlatsi Ramafole and  resident Ambassador, Mr. Rets'elisitsoe Lechesa are part of the Minister's delegation. 

 Lesotho currently chairs the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation.
